NAR Philippines, Inc., is an association of Professional Real Estate Practitioners in the Philippines organized in September 27, 1987, thru the efforts of the late concon delegate Emmanuel “Noli” G. Aguilar who made representations with the head office of NAR USA, in Chicago, USA. NAR members were formerly international affiliate members of the National Association of Realtors of USA. They were listed in the 71st National Rosters of Realtors of NAR USA and were the only Filipinos listed in the said Almanac. Moi Canayon together with other officers and members had attended various international conferences & conventions of the NAR USA.
Gaining international prominence, NAR Philippines was designated principal member and administrator of International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI Philippine Chapter) in the FIABCI World Congress on May 26-31, 1991 in Singapore attended by past NAR Philippine President Josie Balderian and Chairman Rogelio B. Urbina. Josie Balderian was past President of PLAREB while Roger Urbina was past president of RIZAL Board. FIABCI is an association o property developers, real estate practitioners and various professionals worldwide based in PARIS.
FIABCI Philippines was organized with NAR Philippines as the principal member and administrator. Moi Canayon was president for four (4) years and had attended FIABCI World Congress in Tokyo, Japan; Paris, France; Dublin, Ireland; Singapore, Malaysia and Korea.
NAR Philippines was one of the original active realty organizations that helped organized the Real Estate Service Council of the Philippines (RESCOP), the consultative body of the Department of Trade & Industry in real estate matters. NAR President MOl CANAYON represents NAR in the council.
With the signing by President Arroyo of the Real Estate Service Act, the real estate practitioners were placed under the supervision and administration of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) effective July 29, 2009. The Real Estate Service Council of the Philippines (RESCOP), which was the consultative body of DTI on real estate matters, was dissolved. Realty associations who were member of RESCOP formed an association, the Federation of Real Estate Service Association, Inc. “FRESA”. FRESA was accredited by PRC as interim ACCREDITED Professional Organization (APO).
NAR conducts Comprehensive Real Estate Seminars & Review and Continuing Professional Education Seminars.
